This course is a next step into the world of oil painting!
During these oil classes, we will have fun painting hands, wonderful sceneries and expressionist paintings, learn 2-in-1 aspects of oil painting and more. What we will try to achieve is what many masters did – learn the rules to break them.
At the end of the course, we will create an final expressionist painting where we will mix and match what we’ve learned and try to find new effects.

Meeting the Oil - LEVEL 2 Program
During the first class we will be analyzing the forms/shapes of the hands and talk about colour values.
We will also compare the results of blending the colors and try an Alla Prima style.
At the second class we will continue our exploration of hands but applying different color glazes with a goal to have a transparent colored sleeve.
You will learn more about perspective and how to achieve an atmospheric perspective using knife and brush.
By portraying landscapes, we will also talk about color mixing.
We will apply what we´ve learned about composition, color mixing, values, shapes, and palette knife painting.
One of the paintings you will create following the rules and another breaking the rules.

On average there are 4-5 participants. The small group size allows us to pay attention to each participant.
Yes. We have Online Participation in a live art class Option. If you are not in Lisbon but anyway want to join our regular classes in presence this option can be perfect for you. After the booking you will receive all instructions how to join the event via Google Meet. Also see information about our online art classes
In this case you can attend the missed classes with the next edition (maximum 2 classes) or you can join this class online.
This oil course is suitable for children from 11 yeas old. Also you need to take into account that our group are all ages. Or we can do individual classes for your child.
Yes, you can join the running course any moment.
If you choose to participate in a live format, you do not need to prepare materials for the art class. If your format is remote, you will need materials. You will receive a detailed video and list of materials. You can buy them in our online store
Our art classes are suitable for all skill levels. However, we advise to attend the Meeting the oil course first.
