Branding is the visual aspect of a brand. It reflects the brand’s positioning and is tailored to appeal to its target audience. While the logo is a central element of branding, it cannot stand alone.
A complete visual identity is developed to support the logo and enhance its impact.
Together, they enable users to recognize the brand, reinforce its credibility, and influence how it is perceived.

We will create the visual identity that works with the logo to finalise the branding.
We will finish the session with the production of a brandboard.

The tutor recommends the students to already have an idea of the brand they want to build (name + product/place/service) before starting the course.
Each participant will create a branding project of their choice! You can choose any brand to develop a unique visual identity for. For example, you might invent a fictional brand you've always wanted to create (a store, a product, an event, etc). Alternatively, you can select an existing brand you admire and redesign its branding to improve or reinterpret it.
A laptop and Adobe Illustrator already installed. While Illustrator is not free, you can start with a 7-day free trial. After that, you can subscribe to the monthly Illustrator plan, or—if you’re interested in accessing more tools—the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite. You will also need a pen and papers for the logo sketching part.
