Join our one day art retreat with laughter, conversation, mindfulness and art in Sintra!
We will spend a beautiful day enjoying sketching in one of the most unique and fascinating places in Portugal, filled with romanticism and mystery with a group of like-minded people in a fun and relaxed environment.
During our art journey, you will create several illustrations using pencils and watercolor, under the guidance of our expert tutor.
The program is designed for beginners as well as for more advanced participants. You will be guided step by step in order you get a new hobby or improve your artistic skills.

Program of the day
Romantic Nature Sketch
In the morning, after meeting at 11:00 at the train station, we will have a 20 minutes climbing trip up the hill to a nice natural spot, Vila Sasetti and create our first magnificent sketch
Lunch Break
Around 14:00 we will have a lunch break at the most eclectic spot in the very heart of the historic Sintra Village. For ones who doesn't want to lose any time during the break you can make a quick food sketch
Urban Sketch
After lunch, we will go to the center of the atmospheric Sintra village, at the square of National Palace, to make an architectural sketch that you can keep as a memory of your journey!

Joao Baffa
João is an artist with a passion for watercolor painting and figure drawing. He studied Graphic Design in Brazil and honed his skills over the years, taking classes and workshops to improve his painting technique.
Beyond art, Joao has a deep love for plants and nature, finding inspiration in the natural world around him and incorporating organic elements into his artworks.
